Overview:
The JBL Control 400 Series ceiling loudspeakers were introduced as direct replacements for previous-generation JBL Control Series in-ceiling models. Corresponding legacy new construction brackets remain compatible with their equivalent Control 400 Series replacement models, allowing existing bracket inventory to continue being used on new installations.

Guidance:
Legacy and current new construction brackets are functionally interchangeable when used with their corresponding speaker models. The legacy bracket part numbers have been discontinued and replaced with Control 400 Series nomenclature, but any remaining inventory may continue to be used.
For example, an MTC-26NC bracket originally intended for a Control 26C/T may also be used with a Control 426C/T. Purchasing an MTC-426NC bracket is not required if compatible MTC-26NC inventory is already available.
Summary:
The introduction of the JBL Control 400 Series does not require replacement of existing new construction bracket inventory. Where a Control Series model has a corresponding Control 400 Series replacement, the matching legacy new construction bracket remains compatible and may continue to be used.
