Auto Standby and Auto Channel Disable Features in Amplifiers
Table of Contents
To improve energy efficiency, Crown amplifiers include features that automatically deactivate inactive channels after a specified period of inactivity. These features help reduce power consumption without compromising system performance.
Auto Standby:
Automatically deactivates amplifier channels when no input signal is detected for a predetermined duration. This feature helps reduce energy consumption without compromising system performance.
- Configuration: Can be enabled through Audio Architect
- Scope: Configurable per channel or globally across all channels, provides flexibility for integration based on system requirements
Auto Standby Mode by Series:
Disabled by Default
- DCi DriveCore Install DA Series
- DCi DriveCore Install Network Series
- DCi DriveCore Install Network Display Series
Enabled by Default (Not Configurable and Cannot Be Disabled)
- I-Tech Series
- I-Tech HD Series
Auto Channel Disable (ACD):
ACD turns off output channels when the output signal remains below a defined threshold for a set duration.
- Default Timeout: 5 minutes
- Default Setting: Enabled
- Scope: Applies to all channels
ACD Supported Series
- CDi DriveCore Analog Series
- CDi DriveCore BluLink Series
Key Differences Between Auto Standby and ACD:
