The attached files demonstrate how to connect from one G4 touch panel to another G4 touch panel using both G4 Computer Control and G4 Web Control. See 719-DL1-Touch Panel to Touch Panel Control.zip
Special Notes to be aware of:
- When using Computer Control to connect between panels, it is not necessary to log on/off to reconnect to another panel.
- If a password is desired on panels for secure connection, make sure to send the command first before the command for changing the host IP address. This caused some problems and eventually a lockup in older versions of firmware.
- Once a host IP command is sent to the panel, it will automatically connect, it is not necessary to log on to the new connection.
