Updating using Dante Controller v4.2.3.1 or above: Updating using Dante Firmware Update Manager v3.10.6.2: Enabling AES 67:

The latest firmware version for the VI and SI Dante cards support AES 67. This includes the S21m Dante Card used in Local Rack (v4.0.9.1), the VIx000 Internal Dante Interface (v4.0.8.2), and the Si Dante Card (v4.0.8.2).

Updating using Dante Controller v4.2.3.1 or above:

1) Open Dante Controller. You may see that an update shows to be available right away. If not, click on File/Dante   Updater to open the update loader.

2) If the Dante card is recognized, and the firmware file is available, the device(s) will show in the “Update(s) Available" windows. Click “Update" next to each device, then select “Update Selected Devices" at bottom right of screen.

3) Update should complete and remind you to reboot the device. Do that reboot and you should then be on the latest version.

4) If no devices show in the “Update(s) Available" list, check the “Library" for the Harman devices that you are trying to update. If you will be running the update offline from the internet, you must download the needed files beforehand while you have network connectivity.

5) If you have the library files available, and you still see no devices in the “Update(s) Available" list, then a manual update using the older Dante Firmware Update Manager software is needed.

Updating using Dante Firmware Update Manager v3.10.6.2:

1) Open Dante Firmware Update Manager. Select your Ethernet port and hit “Next".

2) Click “Update Dante Firmware".

3) Download the correct Dante firmware file (.dnt). Browse until you find the correct firmware file for your device, then hit “Next".  Firmware files are attached with this document.

If Nothing Shows Up In List, You Can Check “Override Device Matching” To Allow Any File To Be Downloaded. Be Aware That Incorrect Firmware COULD Be Loaded SO Be Very Careful To Select Correct Version!!

4) The Dante card should show up in the update list and you can run the update.

5) After complete, make sure to reboot the device.

Enabling AES 67:

1) In Dante Controller, open the device then click on the “AES 67" tab. Enable AES 67, then reboot the Dante card.

2) With the Dante card device selected, select “Device/Create A New Multicast Flow” Select AES 67 and then select the number of flows you want to create. Dante devices running AES 67 are limited to Multicast flows.

3) Under the “Transmit" tab, you will see the RTP Multicast Flow address.
