System Lock

This feature will lock all the buttons and encoders on the speaker including the Power button.  Adjustments can still be made on the JBL Pro Connect app and JBL Compact Connect app when System Lock is enabled.   System Lock will be disabled if the speaker loses power from the battery and mains supply.

Enabling and disabling System Lock on the speaker

1. Hold down the following buttons for seven seconds:  CH SELECT and DUCKING.
2. The following indicators will flash to confirm the change:  CH1, CH2, CH3 and CH4.
3. The System Lock status will be displayed in the JBL Pro Connect app.
4. The System Lock status is not displayed on the JBL Compact Connect app.

Enabling and disabling System Lock on the JBL Pro Connect app

1. Navigate to the Setup page and then tap the padlock icon.
2. The following indicators will flash on the speaker to confirm the change:  CH1, CH2, CH3 and CH4.
3. System lock is enabled when the padlock icon is red. 

Firmware

System Lock feature will be present on devices with firmware 5.1.8.0 or above.  The firmware version can be displayed by connecting the speaker to the JBL Compact Connect app or JBL Pro Connect app.

Firmware 5.1.8.0 can be installed from the JBL Compact Connect app for Android and iOS.
Firmware 6.2.0.0 can be installed from the JBL Pro Connect app for Android and iOS.
