Question: Answer:

Question:

What is the default system number for NetLinx masters?

Answer:

NetLinx Masters are shipped set to System 1.

Always change this setting to a different number, using unique system numbers for all the NetLinx systems on the same network.  Leaving the system set at 1 won't affect performance for applications that don't use Master-2-Master programming.  As more and more integrators and customers are taking advantage of M2M, it's a good idea to make sure every NetLinx system on the network has a unique identity.
