​The drivers within your loudspeaker system are specifically chosen and matched to the cabinet design.  Furthermore, the crossover network, which is an integral part of the system, is meticulously programmed to work in conjunction with these exact driver specifications.

Introducing a driver from another model can lead to several issues.  The replacement driver may not be acoustically or physically compatible with the existing cabinet; more importantly, it will likely not align with the carefully calibrated parameters of the crossover network.  This mismatch can result in suboptimal audio performance, and in some cases, may even cause damage to the speaker system itself.
