What are the recommended device number ranges for Netlinx?
Answer:
- 0:3:0 – 0:x:0 Netlinx IP Connections (While 0:2:0 is technically valid also, we don't use it)
- 1-255 Axcess Devices Use Axcess standards
- 301-3060 Netlinx card frames Start at frame number 25 - (frame# * 12) + 1
- 5003-5999 EXB/VPX/ICSNet Netlinx devices EXB-COM2, EXB-IRS4, VPX-1701, NXI, NXM-COM2 etc.
- 6001-6999 Devices that are not auto configured, DX-RX, DX-TX, SDX, ICSNet Landmark devices PLH-VS8, PLB-AS16
- 7001-7999 P3 Devices
- 8001-8999 PCLink Device PCLink devices are PC Programs
- 10001-31999 Ethernet/ICSNet Touch Panels DMS, IMS, future panels
- 32001-32767 Dynamic devices Actual range used by master (Since these are dynamic devices they shouldn't be defined in code)
- 32768-36863 Netlinx Virtual devices Traditionally we start at 33001
- 41001-41199 DUET Virtual devices
- 45001-45064 Auto configured DXLINK transmitters/SDX
- 46001-46064 Auto configured DXLINK Receivers
