Question:

How do I write my own NetLinx modules?

Answer:

One of the more powerful tools available in NetLinx Studio is the ability to write your own modules just like the ones you can download on our developer site.

The download below is an example of how to write a very simple module and source.

The steps are pretty easy.

  1. Write module.
  2. Compile module.
  3. Define module into your code using the MODULE_NAME = 'WHATEVER'( PARM,PARM,PARM) for however many parameters you have.
  4. Compile your main source code. The .tko will be included in your code.
  5. Download, reboot, and run.
