Transcript
hello and welcome to the Soundcraft video manual series my name is Austin and today I will be taking you through a demonstration on how to get connected to your UI series mixer for the first time let's get started
Chapter 3: Web Browser GUI
the first thing to understand is that the way you access your UI mixer is from your web browser while many other similar digital mixers out there have a standalone application that you download and install from the Apple or Google App Stores the Soundcraft UI series mixers don't require a separate app at all but rather are accessed from the browser just like any other website the primary method of connectivity and the one that the majority of users choose the most is by
Chapter 4: Getting Connected via the Ui Hotspot
connecting to the mixer's built-in Wi-Fi network hotspot on your device of choice join the mixer's Wi-Fi network since I am using a ui24r in this example the one that is in my device's Wi-Fi list is called Soundcraft ui24 go ahead and select it and once it is connected you're ready to move on to the next step from here open up your web browser I'll be using Firefox in my example the mixers built-in web server which is what is hosting the application
Chapter 5: Ui Hotspot Web (URL) Addresses you control the mixer on can be accessed via two different addresses ui-mixer.io and ui. both of these can be found in the manual just in case you need them once you type one of these into the browser's web address bar press
enter from here the browser will then use that address to locate the application on the mixer and pull it up
Chapter 6: Choosing Your Display Size
for you as you can see on our splash screen here it presents us with two choices either the phone size display or the tablet size display this is for making sure that the sizing is appropriate for the device you're using so if you're using a phone choose the phone option on the left and for all other devices that are tablet size or larger choose the tablet size on the right now the mixer will load the main mix page and from here you're ready to control your mixer
