​Symptom:

 High or Low Voltage Rail Warning.
 

Troubleshooting:

Harman Part 141641-1, XSTR,MFET,P-CH,20V 1.5A FDN308P SOT23, the AML part FAIRCHILD SEMI FDN308P may cause

the PFC controller in the power supply (PS) module of CDi amplifiers to malfunction. Units under this failure mode report

failed high and low power rails at the front LCD screen and would not work appropriately.
 

!! The following rework solution to the PS module of CDi amplifiers may not be sufficient to resolve the power rail failures

showing on the LCD screen, as the root cause to this failure may come from Amplifier and/or PS module. But this is a required step towards a complete fix to power rail failures!!
 

Actions:​

​​If there is visible flux residue on the PCB of PS module, clean the board with flux remover spray and rinse the PCBA with isopropyl alcohol

Reflow the solder at R662 and R666

Remove the P-channel MOSFET at Q701, and replace it with Vishay Semiconductors SI2347DS-T1-GE3​
