How to set up MORE ME on Ui Series Mixers

This video is a guide to using the MORE ME feature with the Soundcraft Ui series of mixers. MORE ME will allow musicians more control over their own monitor with a single fader. Adjust the band's volume and turn yourself up with ease to spend more time focusing on the music.

hello and welcome to the Soundcraft video manual Series. today we'll be doing a video highlighting the more me functions in the UI series of mixers. the more me function allows users a fast and easy way to adjust their personal mix on the Fly anybody using a UI for stage or in ear monitoring purposes should really check this out let's get The MORE ME View started. if you've opened the UI in portrait mode orientation on a mobile phone or tablet then you most likely have already seen the Mori feature although it won't do anything unless you assigned channels to it. the way it works is simple you choose which aux bus is yours then assign one or more mixer channels to the more me now you have a single slider that can increase the gain of the channels you want to hear while simultaneously decreasing all the other channels or vice versa let's get back to landscape orientation for MORE ME Setup now the easiest way to get started is from the main mix view scroll sideways until you get to your aux buses press and hold on the channel label of whichever aux Channel you use for your personal monitoring from the popup menu select assign my out. next scroll back to your mixer channels press and hold on the channel label of whichever Channel you assign as your own for our purpose we'll say this is for the guitarist so we'll choose the mixer channel for the guitar choose assign me the mixer Channel and oxbs you assigned are now highlighted in Orange if you're in a mobile device you can turn it back to Portrait orientation to see the more me Accessing MORE ME page there are a few other ways to get to the more me page if you're not in portrait mode if you're on a phone tap the menu icon in the top right then select more me to return hit the button in the top right again if you're in tablet view hit the UI button in the top right then select the more me button at the Adjusting MORE ME bottom looking at the more me page we have a slider with a yellow bar in the middle tap and drag this to adjust a balance of your assigned more me channels in relation to the other channels that you didn't assign in our example the left side me represents the guitar Channel and the right side band is for all the other instruments that we didn't assign such as bass drums and keyboards we can also adjust the gain of our Me Channel independently as well as our band Channel just tap and drag on their respective Assigning More Channels bars you can also have more than one assigned me channel as many as you want in fact if our guitarist also does backing vocals then we can assign their vocal channel to the more me using the same method of pressing and holding the mixed Channel label than selecting assign me the assigned me and band channels are tied directly to your oxbs mix faders so any adjustments made on the morei page will reflect on the mix channel in your oxbs more me settings are local only to the device that they're configured on you'll need to assign the morm channels on each device that'll be using this function for tablet users if you don't Disabling MORE ME in Portrait want to use the morei function automatically in portrait mode then you can disable list from within your local settings page look for the option that says more me portrait mode and change it to off this lets you operate the fader view pages in portrait mode with long throw faders that's all there is for more me
