Question:
On a channel, why is the mix width not changing when I am in LCR mode?
- Select a channel and place into LCR mode. Adjust the mix width and nothing happens.
Answer:
Unlike encoders for gain, eq, processing, etc., the mix width is not an active encoder function. You must set it where you want, then push in on encoder to select it.
Mix Width is the amount of the input that will be in the other space. IE: if you are panned center, and the mix width is 0%, all signal will be just in the center. As you pan left or right, the signal goes to that location totally. So if you pan left, there will be no signal in Center or Right. If you raise the mix width, that percentage of signal will always come from the other channels as well. This allows you to pan the majority of the channels signal, but leaves a percentage in the channels that you are panned away from.
- Select channel and then select Input

- Select LCR Mode, then select Mix Width. Rotate the encoder to the desired percentage. Then you MUST click down on the encoder for the change to take effect.
