Overview:

When a VC-Feeder with M16 connector is installed in a location with high salt concentration, we recommend using silicone grease on the connectors.

Note: This only applies for the VC-Feeder version with M16 connector.

Approved Dielectric Silicone Grease types are:

• Kema SC-4 Silicoe-fedt, article no: 80905, Mfg: ITW Chemical Products Scandinavia.
• Servisol Silicone Grease, PN 6200002000, Mfg CRC Industries UK Ltd
• LOCTITE® Dielectric Grease, Mfg Henken

Applying silicone grease:

1. Add 0,10 g dielectric silicon grease (approx. ø 5 mm) Fig. 1. To the thread on the female connector Fig. 2. (Both cable molded type and wire terminal connector type)

2.    Gently apply the grease all the way round the thread Fig. 3.

3.       Add 0,10 g grease (approx. ø 5 mm) to the inside thread on the male connector Fig. 4. (Both cable molded type and wire terminal connector type)

4.      Between the union nut and connector part. Turn the union nut to ensure that the grease is all around inside Fig. 5.

Do not apply grease inside the compartment of the pins

5.       Assemble the connector, add grease in this area (all around) Fig. 6.

6.       Wipe off any excessing grease Fig. 7.

7.       For Wire terminal connector (with screw terminals) add also grease when assembly the main parts together similar way. Both male and female connector Fig. 8.  Gently apply the grease all the way round the thread.
