Question:
Why am I seeing strange scaler behaviour when using my DXLink DX-RX-4K60?
Answer:
A possible cause of this issue could be down to double scaling your output image. The DVX shared architecture of the outputs (HDMI and DXLink) ultimately ends up with the output being scaled on the DVX's DXLink output and in the RX itself.
Recommended setting:
- If the output is DXLink only (associated HDMI not being used on the DVX) then in the DVX settings switch the scaler on the HDMI output 2 to bypass, this will result in the DVX passing the raw image to the RX where the RX (4K60) will handle the scaling.
- If the DXLink and the HDMI are being used you could repeat the above steps or leave the DVX's HDMI output with the scaler enabled and disable the scaler in the RX. This topology is a little more complex and may require testing of scaler settings for optimal results.
